Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean.
Currently, I am a UX/UI designer for PS Web Consulting, a company that specializes in building websites for small businesses. As the UX designer on the team, I am tasked with working alongside the project manager on analyzing high-level requirements clients have for their websites, then creating hi-fidelity prototypes on Figma, and finally, use the Wordpress platform to design and build those websites to be published on the web.
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.
So far, I have created web redesigns for these three companies. Once my project manager took them on as clients, work began immediately. I had to see what design and usability aspects were not working for their old sites. Then I conducted market research, looking into the online presence of competitors, and what their business looks like, in terms of visual design and usability.
Next, using my knowledge of good visual and UX design, I create hi-fidelity mockups in Figma. Here is a link to the design playground in Figma! The mockups get reviewed my the team, especially the project manager, and once he presents the designs to the client - and the client approves - we move on to Wordpress, where the website is published, and brought to life!
The Figma file will also show some screenshots of the previous web designs. Click on the links to check out each redesigned website.
The Forte Music School project has allowed me to explore another avenue relating to design: content creation. The client was very happy with the web design, so he encouraged me to brainstorm other method of promoting the school. After designing the website, I began to move into video creation, editing, and social media management.
I began by creating a promotional video for the school - I wrote the script, filmed the content for the video, then edited the results in Adobe After Effects, to produce the final product. The process was an interesting experience for me; it gave me the confidence to know that I can branch out and expand my skillset into other avenues of content creation.
Currently...
I am working on a web redesign for Imperial Pools, a new client. I am also working on a logo design for another company that sells vanity stonework and countertops. What can I say - I love to stay busy. Make sure to follow along with my journey!
