Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean.
Sky Express was one of my first formal internships diving into web design, in which I created a website in a professional setting for an official company as a client. My primary task at the company was to design the website, but I also handled other duties around the office, like processing invoices. Sky Express is a trucking company, but my supervisor at the company had an affiliate business, under the name of SkyStream, a car wash business for which I was tasked with the logo design.
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.

Sky Express Website

Designing a website for a trucking company was an interesting experience. My clients had very specific qualifications for how the site should look - for example, the rounded nav link buttons, top blue banner, transparent block elements, etc.
The website's primary purpose is to attract new prospective employees, and so I designed it with many entryways leading to application forms, information about hiring details, and an overall welcoming feel.

SkyStream Car Wash

One of my first logo design experiences was for SkyStream Car Wash, a car wash business owned by my manager at Sky Express. I never hesitate to mention this logo design when I discuss my work experience, because this logo was actually put to use on a sign by the car wash, which was a huge deal for me, especially this early on in my career.
The most notable part of the design process for this logo was the car graphic at the very top. I exclusively used Adobe Illustrator for this design, and although it wasn't my first time using Illustrator for a project, it was certainly the first one to be used on real signage. Not too bad for my first time, right?
